Norbert Kricke - a pioneer of art and architecture

This sculpture is a monument of the history of 'art and architecture', which stands for the complexity, the synthesis and the endlessness of this medium. In public places it was Kricke's concern to lighten the functionalist, strictly rectangular architecture of postwar modernism. The "Big Mannesmann" from 1959 sets an interesting contrast to the strict geometry of the office building by Paul Schneider - Esleben at Düsseldorf Rheinufer.
